University of Donja Gorica and Center for monitoring and research on Tuesday, 24 th May 2016. year, in hotel Princess in Bar, organizing workshop : „ Human rights and democracy in EU“. The workshop was open by general director of the Directorate for development and protection of the minorities rights Leon Gjokaj, the Dean of the Humanistic studies at the University of Donja Gorica prof. dr Milan Podunavac and director of the legal department in CeMI Vlado Dedović. Right to participate on the workshop have students and pupils. The workshop is consisted of three sessions on the themes ; human rights and equal rights to education for everyone, dominant concept of EU – democracy culture and culture in democracy, as well as legitimacy question and democratic deficit in EU. On this themes, the speakers were experts from different areas: prof. dr Budimir Košutić, dr Dragan Đukanović and mr Bojan Božović. The representatives will have a chance to listen lectures about educational system in EU members, which is in accordance with legal norms and with democratic values which are especially respected. At the end, the participants will have a chance to learn something more about legitimacy and democratic deficit in EU The school is organized within the project „Be ready for the EU values „ , which is implemented by CeMI in cooperation with partners : University of Donja Gorica, Art Communication from Podgorica, Center for international studies from Croatia and Center for european perspective from Slovenia. The project is supported by European commission within the program Erasmus plus (call : Capacity Building Youth – Western Balkans ) . BREV project (Be ready for EU values) has aim to encourage cooperation and exchange experiences between youth from Montenegro and EU countries through promotion of european values among young people from Montenegro.
